How to Watch For Feline Allergies
) Start off by watching your feline and its habits. Write them down and keep track of what your feline does.
) Keep track of what your feline eats, how often, brand of foods and even treats. Watch your cat to see if it is chewing or biting at its paws or excessive scratching/itching it’s ears. Hot spots and allot of shedding can be signs of feline allergies as well.
) If the allergies persist, make sure to take you feline to the vet along with your notes. Based off what you have written down and the vet you should be able to figure out if it’s a feline allergy or not. On this same note if the vet cannot figure it out by all the information you provide they may refer you to allergy testing. This can be very expensive and does not always determine what the cause is or if it’s a allergy at all.
) If you have tried just about everything and have gotten nowhere look into allergy shots and feline health supplements.
